Winnie B Mathis

Winnie B. Mathis, went to her heavenly home September 9, 2022.  Originally from Allons, Tennessee.  She passed at her residence in her sleep peacefully and surrounded by her family and loved ones. Winnie was born February 8, 1940 to the late Roy and Hettie (Prichard) Brown.

She was the owner of Yorktown Upholstery for many years.  She attended the House of Prayer Church.  Winnie truly lived life to the fullest through simple pleasures traveling, chatting with friends and family and spending time with her great grandchildren.

She is survived by her sisters, Betty Hummel, Deb Fletcher; grandchildren, Suzette (Jay Jones) Stokes, Shayne (Cassandra Neff), Travis (Stephanie Giles), Amanda Mathis; great grandchildren, Jason, Bryce, Corbin, Joleen, Claire, Gavin, Michael, Alex, Edwin, Braum, Daniel, Daniela, Annslynn, Serenity; great-great grandchildren, Rayne and Remington.

Winnie was preceded in death by her parents; son, Michael Mathis; brothers, Kenny Brown, Bill Brown and Grady Brown.

A Memorial Service for Winnie will be on Wednesday at 6:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53^rd St., Anderson, IN 46013.

Visitation will be from 5:00 to 6:00 pm at the funeral Home.
