Wilma Louise (Kelly) Sedwick, formerly of Lapel, passed away at age 97 at Morrison Woods Health Campus in Muncie on June 10, 2024. She was born in Frankfort, Indiana on May 8, 1927, to Walter and Cora Kelly.
She graduated from Kirklin High School and then married Robert W. Sedwick in 1947. Wilma was a stay-at-home wife and mom who took care of her family and home with great care. She worked briefly for Bickel's Bike Shop in Anderson and also provided child care in her home for several families.
Wilma had a special love for cardinals. She enjoyed yard work, bowling, playing bingo and following IU Hoosiers basketball team as well as the Cincinnati Reds. She was also an active member of Southern Heights Christian Church and Otterbein United Methodist Church in Anderson.
Wilma is survived by her daughters, Phyllis (husband, John) Lovell of Muncie and Linda Bush of Anderson; grandsons, Jeffrey Lovell (Lori), Brian Lovell (Amy) and Mark Jessup (Jonie); six great-grandchildren; three sisters-in-law; a special niece, Nancy Koehl; and many other nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 73 years, Robert Sedwick; her parents; son-in-law, Don Bush; two sisters; five brothers; a granddaughter; and three great-grandchildren.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 PM on Saturday, June 15, 2024, at Bozell Funeral Homes Lapel Chapel, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Pastor Bob Hendrickson officiating. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.
Visitation will be from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Saturday, at the funeral home
