Wilma Gray Brashear, 87, of Anderson, passed away on May 12, 2019 at Millers Merry Manor, Tipton. She was born on May 11, 1932 in Laurel Springs, North Carolina to the late John and Rena (Bare) Reed. Wilma retired from Frisch’s Big Boy at the age of 80 after 36 years of service. She was an avid gardener, loved animals and playing the piano. She was also known for her annual rummage sales. She is survived by her daughters, Sandra Hamilton of Anderson, Julie (Levi Jr.) Cox of Anderson, Jennifer (Fred) Farley of Atlanta, IN, Janice (Robert) Grimm of Shelburn; sisters, Kathern Taylor and Mabel Huffman; grandchildren, Kendra Hutchison-Campbell, James Tanner Hutchison, Levi Cox III, Caleb Cox, Billy Farley, Joe Farley, Brad Brinkman, Kacie Barron; step grandchildren, Brenda Revolt, Greg Miller, Sean Sisson, Phillip Brashear Jr.; 14 great grandchildren, 1 great great grandchild, and several nieces and nephews. Wilma was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Brashear, one brother, two sisters, step-son Phillip Brashear, and a step daughter, Rosalie Sisson. Services will be on Friday at 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013 with Pastor Dan Ealy officiating. Burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery, Anderson. Visitation will be on Thursday from 4:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home. Memorial Contributions may be made to Friends Helping Families.
