William “Porky” James, 68, of Anderson, passed away January 21, 2020 at Millers Merry Manor of Middletown. He was born, February 14, 1951, in Anderson, the son of Clyde and Nellie James. William retired from Delco-Remy having worked there from 1969 to 1999. William is survived by his mother, Nellie James; a sister, Linda (Tim) Ellis; daughters, Haley (Joe) Ukiri, Staci (Chuck) Alfrey, step children, Jennifer (Uriah) Armstrong, Tim Cox, Toby Cox, Dobie (Brenda) Cox; grandchildren, Quinn Ukiri and Zane Ukiri; and lifelong friends, Donnie Musick and Tom Martin. William was preceded in death by his wife, Mary James; and his father, Clyde James. A gathering for family and friends to celebrate the life of William will be held from 4-8 p.m., Saturday Feb 1st, at a family member’s residence, 5349 North County Road 850 West, Middletown. Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory is honored to assist the James family. Memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Protection League of Anderson.
