William Key

William Key, 81, of Edinburgh, passed away on December 7, 2023, surrounded by his loving family. William was born on May 25, 1942 in Minnesota to the late Oakford William and Violet (Inglbee) Key. William married the love of his life, Cecelia Humphrey, and the two were married for many years. He retired from Caterpillar, where he worked as a warranty technician. William was an avid wood worker, loved Indian decorations, stargazing, and painting with his wife. He especially loved food and spending time with his family.

William will be dearly missed by his wife, Cecelia; children, Jim (Kay) Humphrey, Sharon (Dave) Aslett, Trina Turnipseed, Bill Key, Carol (Doug) Perrine, Scott Litten, Melissa (Brian) Thompson, and Amber (Bob) Straugh; and numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

The visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53^rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin right at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. A live-stream of the service will be made available right at the time of service. Burial will be in East Maplewood Cemetery.
