William Jack Sanders

William “Jack” Sanders, 82, passed away May 24, 2023, at his residence surrounded by his family.

He was born December 30, 1940, in Anderson to the late, William “Roy” & Lena “Aravilla” (Pollitt) Sanders.

Jack was a veteran of the U.S. Air Force, having served during Vietnam. He retired from General Motors after 44 years. He loved genealogy, woodworking, oil painting, and watching classic westerns. He spent most of his time doting on his beloved children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren.

Jack is survived by his wife of 58 years, Janet (Burns) Sanders; children, Lisa (husband, Dan) Pesaresi, William “Gregg” (wife, Angie) Sanders, & L. Christine (husband, Casey) Wicker; brothers, Charles Robert (wife, Sandy) Sanders & Kenneth Lee (wife, Dorothy) Sanders; grandchildren, William “Brant” (wife, Ashley), Kamryn Sanders, Luke Sanders, & Carter Wicker; great-grandchildren, Kinzley & William “Matthew” Sanders, Rowan & Micah Spurr; niece, Lora (husband, Tim) Ralph; great nephew, Dylan Ralph; and four-legged companion, Abby.

Services will be at 2:00 pm Tuesday, May 30, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. The burial will be at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be from noon until the time of services at the funeral home.
