William D. Goodson

William D. Goodson, 68, of Anderson, passed away August 7, 2015, at his residence following an extended illness.

He was born January 2, 1947, in Sparta, Tenn., the son of the late William E. and Mable (Riggs) Goodson. He retired from Rockwool Industries after 28 years of employment and then worked for Pizza King as a delivery driver.

William was a kind, hard working family man who delighted in taking care of his grandchildren especially his great-grandson.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 49 years, Ruth Goodson; daughter, Beverly Tomlinson; grandson, Chase (Casey Thornberry) Tomlinson; great-grandchildren, William Chase Tomlinson and his mother, Destiny Jones, Skyra Tomlinson; a sister, Marsha Pine; and several nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Angela Jarvis and her unborn son; and a grandson, Jacob Daniel Tomlinson.

There will be no services.
