Wilfred Duawne Funk

Wilfred Duawne Funk, 70, Anderson, passed away Tuesday, May 24, 2016, at Saint Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following a sudden illness.

He was born on May 4, 1946, in Anderson, Indiana to Wilfred and Dorotha (McCord) Funk.

He graduated from Lapel High School in 1965 and served in the U. S. Army.

Duawne worked at one time at RCA in Marion and Mofab in Anderson but primarily farmed his family farm.

He is survived by four children, Guina (Lindsey) Parrish of Plainfield, Lisa (Michael) Gunn of Warren, Darlene "Boonie" (Glenn) Antoine of Noblesville, and Aaron (Lynlee) Funk of Anderson; two grandchildren, Wyatt and Emma Funk; and cousin/"brother" Donald (Norma) Preston.

He was preceded in death by his parents; his first wife, Sharon K. (Moore) Funk; his second wife, Eleanor Rosalie "Rosie" (Branch) Funk.

A funeral service will be held at 10:30 am Saturday, May 28, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Richard Cole officiating. Burial will follow in Grovelawn Cemetery, Pendleton.

Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Friday, May 27, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
