Mr. Wayne Garner

Wayne Garner, 73, passed away October 30, 2019, surrounded by his family. He was born March 28, 1946 in the Middle House on Garner Creek Road, in Jamestown, Kentucky. Wayne attended Arsenal Tech High School before he drove for various trucking companies. He retired from USF Holland, where he had received many Safety Awards. His safe driving also awarded by Consolidated Freight Ways, E.H. Hamilton, & Schneider Trucking. He had been a member of the Moose Lodge as well as Teamsters for many years. He is survived by his wife, Myrtie E. (Ford) Garner; children, Darlene E. (husband, Robert) Parry, Wayne D. Garner, Jr., & Jenny L. (husband, Todd) Atkins, all of Wilkinson; grandsons, Sean A. (wife, Desiree) Parry & Cody M. Atkins; granddaughter, Samantha J. Parry; 3 great grandchildren, Ariana Harmeyer, Jayden & Elijah Parry; mother, Hazel (Shearer) Garner; brother, Stan D. (wife, Karen) Garner, Sr.; nephew, Stan D. Garner, Jr. He was preceded in death by his father, Carlie Garner; brothers, Larry & Junior; grandparents; several aunts, uncles, & cousins. He was a loving husband, father, & Poppa. Prior to his illness he loved being outside, working in the yard, or on vehicles. Mostly he loved spending time with his family. Visitation will be from 1-5:00 p.m. Saturday, November 2, 2019 at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family.
