Waneta Rigdon

Waneta Rigdon, 93, of Anderson, passed away on January 18, 2025, at Envive Healthcare of Muncie. Waneta was born on July 16, 1931 in Anderson to the late Norma (Kidwell) Murdock and Gordon Flowers. She married the love of her life, Gilbert Rigdon, and the two were married for many years before his passing. Waneta was a beautician and owned her own salon since 1958. Waneta enjoyed crafts, crocheting, sewing, and bead crocheting.

Waneta will be dearly missed by her son Philip Rigdon; Philip (Tami) Rigdon, Jr. and Angela (Terry) McConnell; great-grandchildren, Cody Rigdon, Caston McConnell, Izon McConnell, Kenley McConnell, and Jenna Rigdon; numerous great-great grandchildren; and special cousin, JoAnna Murdock.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Gilbert; daughter, Deborah (Dannie) Taylor; and step-father, Herbert Hasler.

Her visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM on Friday, January 24, 2025 at Bozell Funeral Homes-Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 12:00 PM at the funeral home. The burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Waneta's services have been entrusted to Bozell Funeral Homes.
