Walter J. Jack Brumfield

Walter J. Jack Brumfield, 77, Pendleton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, December 21, 2009, at Saint John's Health System in Anderson following an extended illness.
He was born on August 9, 1932, in Sciotiville, Ohio to Walter and Isadora (Jenkins) Brumfield.
Jack proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for 23 years. While in service he was active in officiating Army/Air Force ball games, as well as, in the little leagues. He bravely earned his Bronze Star during his tour of duty in Vietnam. Later Jack went on to Ball State University and Missouri where he furthered his education and became an addictions counselor.
He is survived by his wife, Rosemarie Brumfield; six children, Jeannette Brumfield (husband, Bob Sipes) of Indianapolis, Josette Tabor of Atlanta, GA, Dieter (wife, Susan) Brumfield of Terre Haute, Monika (husband, Richard) Heath of Syracuse, Angelina (husband, Bret) Hackleman of Pendleton, and Myra Brumfield of Bowling Green, KY; one sister, Marilyn Lambert of Anderson; six grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; two step-great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers Dean, Bob and Don Brumfield.
There will be a private family visitation with cremation following and burial will take place at a later date in Marion National Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzeheimer's Association, 225 N. Michigan Ave., Fl. 17, Chicago, IL 60601-7633.
