W.L. “Bill” Mitchell, 91, of Anderson, went home to Glory, June 9, 2018. Bill was born in Anderson, June 4, 1927, the son of the late Harry and Maud Mitchell and was a lifelong Anderson resident and a WWII Army Veteran. Bill retired from Delco-Remy after 34 years of employment. He also was the owner of Mitchell Electric. As a Christian, Bill loved the Bible. He read it, he studied it, he taught it, and he gave it away. He taught a Bible class for many years at the Pendleton Correctional Facility and Delco-Remy. He is survived by his wife of 61 years, Corky Mitchell; daughters, Jennifer (Chris) Eviston, Judy (Michael) Holder, Jody (Glenn) Czarnecki; and a son, Rick (Kathy) Ford; 10 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. He was preceded in death by a son, Mike Rhodes; 3 brothers and a sister. Services will be 1 pm Thursday, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
