Ms. Vivain Young

Vivain Young, 78, of Fortville, passed away Sunday, November 10, 2019. She was born June 6, 1941, in Fair Oaks, Arkansas to the late Johnny Earl & Mattie Jeannette (Jones) Dixon. She married Homer Young on August 1, 1959 in Arkansas then made their way to Indiana. Vivain retired from the Grandparent program of the Head Start in Fortville. She loved children and babysat for multiple generations of the same families. Vivain enjoyed fishing, flowers, and loved to travel. She is survived by her children, Eugene (wife, Janette) Young and Janette (husband, Dana) Clephane; granddaughter, Serina Clephane; siblings, Doyle (wife, Marie) Dixon & Linda (husband, Don) Vickery; and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Homer Young; brothers, Lee, Bobby, Kenneth, & Johnny Dixon. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, November 13, at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson. Burial will be at Pumpkin Bend Cemetery in Pumpkin Bend, Arkansas.
