Virginia Ann Smith, 86, Anderson, passed away October 1, 2015, at Community Hospital in Anderson after a sudden illness.

She was born January 20, 1929, in Anderson, the daughter of the late Harry and Reba (Clevenger) Smith. She lived in Anderson all her life and was a 1947 graduate of Anderson High School and a member of the Connection Pointe Church of Anderson. She retired in 1986 from Delco-Remy with over 30 years of service.

Virginia is survived by her nephew and nieces, Mark (Vicki) Smith of Anderson, Carol (Bob) Frey of Merrillville, Cathy Moore of Fishers, Paula Wayton of CA, Lisa (Tom) Benefiel of Anderson and several great niece and nephews and one great great niece. Also surviving are her earthly angels, Carol and Bruce Gerard of Anderson.

She was preceded in death by her six brothers and sisters, Jack Smith, Lucille Smith, Arnold Smith, Harold Smith, Mildred Livingston, and Dorothy Moore.

Service will be at 11:00 A.M. Saturday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Rev. Timothy Bailey officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.

Friends may call from 10:00 A.M. to 1100 A.M. Saturday at the funeral home.
