Ms. Virginia Louise Krieg

Virginia Louise Krieg, 89, of Anderson, entered Heaven’s gates on October 28, 2018 surrounded by her family. Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She married Emil Krieg in December of 1945 and was a lifelong homemaker. Virginia’s passions were her faith and her family. She impacted the lives of so many through her service as a Sunday school teacher for over 50 years. She was sure to share the love of God with everyone she met. Mission work was important to her as well and she was a faithful supporter of missionary work in Haiti. She will be remembered as a woman who loved the Lord. Virginia enjoyed a spending time with her family and loved to host holiday meals. Her famous chicken noodles were a staple at every dinner. Throughout her life she made hundreds of cakes for every occasion and quilted baby blankets for countless babies born in the family and in her church. Virginia will be greatly missed by her three children, Sharon Conner, Bruce (Vermila) Krieg, and Steve Krieg; brother, Glen (Judy) Skinner, Preston Skinner, and Chester Skinner; eight grandchildren, Cindy (Lauren) MacMillian, Randy Pyland, Lori (Layton) Gilroy, Brian Krieg, Mark Pyland, Emily Pyland, Bruce (Alyssa) Krieg, and Christi Krieg; and twelve great-grandchildren, Austin, Jessica, Evan, Chloe, Elijah, Wyatt, Clayton, Brandon, Aria, Cecilia, Nevaeh, and Jayden. She was preceded in death by her parents, George and Artie Bell Skinner; her husband of 55 years, Emil Krieg; several brothers, sisters, nieces and nephews. Visitation will take place from 12:00-2:00 p.m. Saturday at Main Street Church of God, 4211 Main Street, with services immediately following with Rev. Don Billey officiating. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park. Memorial contributions can be made to Main Street Church of God in Virginia’s honor. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
