Virginia L. Musser, 98, of Anderson, passed away Sunday, February 11, 2018 at Primrose Memory Care, Anderson. She was born on December 20, 1919 in Turin, Iowa, the daughter of Harlan and Zelma (Rogge) Lynch. She was a member of the Ames (Iowa) High School Class of 1936 and then graduated from Iowa State University in 1941. She was a homemaker and was a member of Anderson First United Methodist Church, where her children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren were baptized. Virginia was a very active member of her community, serving as a member or officer of various organizations, including being a 47 year member of the Victoria Guild; the D.A.R.; the Fine Arts Center; the Madison County Historical Society; Treasurer of United Methodist Women for over 20 years; AAUW; lifetime member of Republican Women; Edgewood Country Club; and numerous bridge clubs. She was also an avid golfer. She is survived by her sons, Kenneth D. “Bud” Musser, Jr., of Underwood, WA and Steven L. (Maureen Gilbert) Musser, of Bainbridge Island, WA; grandchildren, Dr. Meghan (Lance) Larivee, of Hood River, OR, Kenneth D. “Trey” Musser, III, of Doha, Qatar, Samuel Blake Musser, of Chicago, IL, Kayla Rose Musser and Max Musser, both of Bainbridge Island, WA; and great-grandsons Nicholas and Jackson Larivee, of Hood River, OR. She was preceded in death by her first husband Robert V. Rannells; second husband, Kenneth D. Musser, Sr.; and sister, Winifred. A Funeral Service will be 11 a.m., April 14, 2018 at Davis Park.
