Virginia L. Kiphart

Virginia L. (Johnson) Kiphart, 88, of Anderson, passed away August 15, 2016 at Countryside Health and Living Community in Anderson.

She was born March 14, 1928 in Anderson, Indiana and was a lifelong Anderson and Pendleton resident.

Virginia attended Anderson High School and was a homemaker. She loved flowers and was always crafting. Virginia served as a pink lady volunteer for St. John’s Hospital in Anderson.

Survivors include her two daughters, Nancy L. Kiphart and Bonnie S. Kiphart both of Pendleton; two grandchildren, Benjamin (wife, Debbie) Walker of Fishers and Sara Walker of Seattle, Washington; five great-grandchildren, Elizabeth, Dominic, Eden, Kallen and Tracen; and her beloved pet, Mollie.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Mary (Coppock) Johnson; husband, Frederick “Fred” E. Kiphart whom she married May 5, 1951 and he passed away October 29, 1988; and her son, Frederick “Freddie” W. Kiphart.

Services will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Chaplain Rob Mifflin officiating and burial following in Mendon Cemetery, south of Pendleton.

Visitation will be held from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m., Saturday, August 20, 2016 at Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.
