Virginia L. Brough-Cook

Virginia L. Brough-Cook, 94, of Anderson, passed away on December 2, 2023. She was born on May 10, 1929, in Wabash, IN to the late Donald and Georgia (Morris) Harding. She married the love of her life, Charles Brough for a number of years before his passing in 1977. Virginia was a homemaker and had the most important job, raising her 8 children. She was a past member of the Eagles Lodge Aerie 174. Virginia was the Matriarch, the glue that held her family together. She loved all holidays, especially Easter and Christmas. Virginia loved to make crafts, sew, shop, dance, and collect rabbit statues. She loved talking on the phone with her neighbors and family, she could talk for hours. Virginia had the most generous and giving heart, she was constantly donating to Veterans in need. Most importantly, she loved her family and her dogs. Her family loved her deeply and she will live forever in their memories.

Virginia will be dearly missed by her children, Linda (Ron) Wolverton, Shirley Brough, Rick (Laurie) Brough, Julia (Ron) Stults, Andrew (Nancy) Brough, Kim (Jerry) Jackson, and Jeff Brough; 20 grandchildren; 33 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Charles; son, Charles “Chuck” Brough; grandsons, Joseph and Robert Brough; and siblings, Eugene “Bud” Harding, Rodney Harding, Franklin “Frank” Harding, Gerald Harding, Betty Shropshire, Barbara Sagarsee, Cecelia “Tukie” Dancer, and Lavone “Ruth” Argerbright .

The visitation will be from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM, Thursday, December 7, 2023 at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53^rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. There will be a brief visitation from 12:00 PM to 1:00 PM on Friday, December 8, 2023, before the funeral ceremony at 1:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery.
