Viola R. “Becky” Munshaur Benefiel, 93, Anderson, passed away August 7, 2017 at Parker Health & Rehabilitation Center in Parker City. She was born April 1, 1924, in Morgantown, the daughter of the late William and Harriett (Parks) Hendren. She lived most all of her life in Anderson and retired in 1974 from Story’s Truck Stop after 22 years of employment. She was a former member of the Rebekah Lodge, Tops Club and Order of Eastern Star. Becky is survived by her four daughters, Mary Ogilvie, Karen Jo (Mark) Mace, Linda (Larry) Hunt all of Anderson and Amber (Mike) Bennett of Muncie; daughter-in-law, Elizabeth Munshaur; Also surviving is her daughter-in-heart, Nona Lou Ward and several grandchildren, great grandchildren, great great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her two husbands, Henry E. Munshaur in 1986 and Edward O. Benefiel in 1997; a son, Carter Munshaur and several siblings. Service will be at 2:00 P.M. Thursday, August 10, 2017, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Pastor Cindy Reynolds officiating. Burial will be in Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call from 12:00 P.M. to 2:00 P.M. on Thursday at the funeral home.
