Victor L. “Vic” Shepard, 79, of Pendleton, Indiana passed away March 2, 2018 at St. Vincent Anderson Hospital.He was born May 8, 1938 in Anderson, Indiana to the late Howard L. and Iva M. (Ashby) Shepard and resided most of his life in the Pendleton area.Vic retired in 2004 from Amtrak Maintenance Facility, Beech Grove after 20 years service as a welder and fabricator. He was a life member of H.O.G. (Harley Owners Group) and a member of the National Rifle Association and Huntsville Good Shepherd Community Church.Survivors include his beloved wife, Julane (Alley) De Lawter Shepard whom he married, December 21, 1963; sons, Mike De Lawter, Greg De Lawter and Steve (Christy) Shepard; daughter, Deann Young; grandson, Corey Shepard; granddaughters, Myra Young, Misty Young, Sidney Young, Kalley Shepard, Danielle De Lawter and Loren De Lawter; great grandson, Jaedon; in-laws, Susan and Jim Kendall, Jane and Benny Sabie and Tom Alley; several nieces and nephews; and special friends, Stanley and Sue Boram.Services at 3 p.m., Monday, March 5, 2018 at Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service and Crematory, Lahm Chapel, 211 E. State St., Pendleton, Indiana 46064 with Pastor Claude Creel officiating. Cremation will follow the services with burial at a later date in Grove Lawn Cemetery, Pendleton.
