Mrs. Velma Jane (Gratner) Yount

Velma Jane (Gratner) Yount, 87, formerly of Indianapolis, passed away November 28, 2017 in Cleburne, TX.She was born November 24, 1930 in Indianapolis. She was a graduate of Arsenal Tech High School. On April 21, 1950 she married Carl Edward Yount and together they raised their family. She worked for a number of years as a secretary at a law office in Indianapolis.In addition to her beloved Carl, she is survived by her son, Gary W. (Linda) Yount of Newlind, NC; her daughter, Jayne A. (Ray) Bardwell-Wesolowski of Bedford, TX; granddaughters, Jill Marie Bardwell and Kristina Lynn Shaw; and great-grandsons, Dylan Behlen, Ryan Shaw and Jaxon Shaw.Graveside Services will be at 12 noon, Tuesday at Mendon Cemetery, Pendleton.Visitation will be from 10 – 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at Wilson St. Pierre – Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 5635 W. 96th Street, Suite 100, Indianapolis, IN 46278.Online condolences at www.wilsonstpierre.com
