Velma J. Pitcock, 76, Lapel, passed away Saturday, March 10, 2012, at Rawlins House in Pendleton following an extended illness. She was born on June 13, 1935, in Celina, Tennessee to Minor and Della (Cunningham) White. Velma retired in 1976 from Brockway Glass in Lapel. She is survived by one son, Jerry (wife, Nancy) Pitcock of Anderson; two grandsons, Joshua (wife, Katie) Pitcock of Washington D. C., and Justin Pitcock of Indianapolis; one great-grandson, Madden Pitcock; and three brothers, Roy M. White and Fred White both of Celina, TN and Marshall White of Noblesville. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Charley Pitcock. There will be no visitation or service.
