Uriah L. Wilson, 29, of Markleville passed away Thursday, December 7, 2017. He was born September 2, 1988 in Plattsburgh, New York. He was a 2007 graduate of Pendleton Heights High School and attended Pendleton Christian Church.Uriah was a veteran of the US Marine Corps having served in Iraq and Afghanistan. He received lots of specialized training and completed a mission training forces in Mongolia.He had worked as a Special Deputy for the Madison County Sheriff’s Department since 2012. Uriah is survived by his parents, Larry W. (Heather) Wilson of Markleville and Louisa Austin Wright, Long Lake, New York; sister, Lydia (Andy) Nelson of Pendleton; stepsiblings, Antoine (Julie) Davis of Mary Esther, Florida, Chad (Taylor) Gemmen of Lafayette, Simon Gemmen of Cedar, Utah, & Rachael Gemmen of Anderson; grandparents, Norman & Nancy Wilson of Noblesville; and nieces and nephews, Zane & MaKaiya Davis, and Rose Gemmen. He was preceded in death by his sister, Laurinda Diana Wilson.Services will be at 11:00 a.m. Wednesday, December 13, at Pendleton Christian Church with Pastor Michael Canada officiating. Visitation will be from 4-8:00 p.m. Tuesday, at the church. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Indiana Disabled American Veterans. Arrangements are entrusted to Wilson St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Lahm Chapel, Pendleton.
