Trudy Lynn Scherer

Trudy Lynn Scherer, 59, Noblesville, passed away Monday, May 2, 2011, at IU Health University Hospital in Indianapolis following a one month illness.
She was born on June 25, 1951, in Noblesville, Indiana to Marvin and Roberta (Alsup) Wood.
She graduated from Noblesville High School in 1969.
Trudy had been a supervisor at Aero Drapery in Westfield for many years and had also been a supervisor at the Noblesville and Pendleton Burger Kings.
She loved the outdoors and enjoyed camping and fishing and especially enjoyed her grandchildren.
She is survived by her husband of 39 years, David Scherer; two children, Jennifer (husband, Kyle) Jones of Noblesville, and Jason (wife, Lisa) Scherer of Lapel; four grandchildren, Torey Scherer, Gabriel Jones, Teague Scherer, and Haiden Scherer; three sisters, Beth (husband, Larry) Ingle of Noblesville, Chris Bannon of Noblesville, and Marla (husband, Mark) Lasley of Anderson; and several nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Tina Wood; and two brothers-in-law, Richard Scherer and Mike Bannon.
A funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon Friday, May 6, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Neal Brown officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, May 5, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
