Tommy Brummett

Tommy Brummett, 73, of Anderson, passed away March 3, 2020, at Community Hospital following a brief illness. Tommy, also known as “Prune”, was born October 8, 1946 to the late Ed and Myrtle Brummett. He was an Army veteran having served in Korea. He is survived by his brothers and sisters; Hayden (Betty) Brummett, Hershel Brummett, Sherry (Mitch) Emmons, Shelly (Jerri) Harter and Brett Phipps; his extended family, Sherry Johnson, Sheila Johnson, Terri Johnson, Ashley Johnson; several nieces and nephews; special friends, Betty Rector and Don Johnson; and his K9 friend, Sussie. Tommy was preceded in death by his parents; Ed and Myrtle Brummett; step-father, Hassel Phipps; and his best friend, Junior Johnson. A family service of remembrance will be 7 p.m. Thursday, March 5, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home. Memorial contribution, in his name, may be made to the Madison County Humane Society.
