Thomas L. Sherrill

Thomas L. Sherrill, 86, of Noblesville, passed away on Saturday, December 23, 2023, at his residence in Noblesville following an extended illness.

He was born on March 6, 1937, in Noblesville, Indiana to Dent Ross and Anna May (Trader) Sherrill.

He was a 1955 graduate of Lapel High School and went on to earn his associate's degree. He retired in 1991 from General Motors as a member of their management team.

He was a 65 year member of the former Clarksville Masonic Lodge and Noblesville Masonic Lodge #57 F&AM. He was also a member of the Scottish Rite Valley Indianapolis, the Murat Shrine, and the Order of the Eastern Star.

His passion was tractor pulling, where he held points champion in many special classes. He was a former winner at the National Farm Machinery Show. He loved farming and a good farm meal.

Thomas is survived by his wife, Carol J. (Beavers) Sherrill; a son, Tommy (wife, Angela) Sherrill of Greenwood; two daughters, Susan (husband, John) Miller of Noblesville and Noelle (husband, Jim) Trump of Noblesville; ten grandchildren; several great-grandchildren; and two great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by parents; a sister and brother-in-law, Sandra Ann and Theodore Lee Coverdale; a brother, William R. "Bill" Sherrill; and a grandson, Archie Lee Sherrill.

A funeral service will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, December 30, 2023, at Bozell Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana 46051 with Rev. Gary Klinger officiating. Masonic rites will be conducted by the Noblesville Masonic Lodge #57 F&AM at 12:45 PM at the funeral home. Burial will follow at Brookside Cemetery in Lapel.

Visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM on Saturday at the funeral home.
