Thomas Lee Hulse

Thomas Lee Hulse, 85, of Anderson passed away at Community Hospital on September 2, 2024 in Anderson. He was born on March 8, 1939 in Anderson to the late Alvin and Agnes (Moon) Hulse.

After graduating from high school in 1956, he faithfully served our country in the United States Army and was honorably discharged in 1963. After the military, he attended and graduated from Ball State University and the IU School of Law. He practiced as an attorney for 50 years in the greater Anderson area until his retirement. He was a member of the Indiana Bar Association and the Supreme Court of Indiana. Thomas was an active member of the Anderson Country Club. Thomas was a former member of the Anderson University Concert Band and loved to play his trumpet. He was an avid Democrat and loved to golf. Most importantly, he loved his family, especially his grandchildren.

Thomas will be dearly missed by his children, John Hulse of Anderson, Greg (JoAnne) Hulse of Planfield, Kristina Betts of Anderson, and Susan Hampton of Anderson; 5 grandchildren, Justin (Kimberly) Hampton, Jessica (Bradley) Glick, Andrea (Nathan) Sneed, Ian Betts, and Zoey Betts; 7 great-granchildren, Lily, Elias, Gwendolyn, Gabrielle, Macy, Myles, and Jera; 25 nieces and nephews; and brother-in-law, David (June) Wood.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife of 62 years, Shirley Joanne (Wood) Hulse; and 8 brothers and sisters.

The visitation will be from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM, Monday, September 9, 2024 at Bozell Funeral Homes- Brown-Butz-Diedring Chapel, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, IN 46013. The funeral ceremony will begin at 2:00 PM at the funeral home. Burial will be held in East Maplewood Cemetery.
