Thelma Eshelman

August 29, 1922 — March 25, 2021

On March 25th, Thelma Eshelman, 98, received her long-awaited party invitation. She can now see and talk with family & friends at the celebration. She was born on August 29, 1922 in Anderson to Minnie Pearl Brown and Squire Burton Davis. She was a wife, mother and grandmother to three generations. In 1939, she married Charles “Chawt” Campbell. The had four sons. After the early loss of Chawt, she was fortunate to find love again and married Joseph Eshelman. They had a daughter. She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers: Jack, Ted and Ray Davis, sisters: Jane Fonce and Eva Clow, both spouses and daughter, Lorena Jane. She is survived by sons: Charles David (Joyce) Campbell, William (Linda) Campbell, Ted Campbell and Michael “Mickey” (Dawn) Campbell; grandchildren: Kelly Campbell, Darren Allumier, Darrek Britton, Michelle and Corey Campbell, Erin, Kyle and Modelene Campbell; great grandchildren: Hannah Bachman, Haylee Britton, Dylan and Brenden Holford; great-great grandchildren: Brantley and Benson Bachman, three nieces. A memorial service for Thelma will be held at 5:00 PM on Monday, March 29, 2021 at Brown-Butz-Funeral Service & Crematory, with Pastor Bob Bell officiating. The family will receive friends from 3:00 PM until the time of service Monday at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be directed to the Hopewell Center. The family would like to thank the staff and acknowledge her friends at Keystone Woods; she loved it there. We are also grateful to the staff at Miller’s Merry Manor in Chesterfield for the care Thelma received in her last few days.
