Terrence O'Neill

Terrence “Terry” O’Neill, 71, passed away Wednesday, December 3, 2014 at Methodist Hospital, Indianapolis after an extended illness.

He was born November 22, 1943, the son of the late Terrence E. and Florine (Ernstes) O’Neill. He attended St. Mary’s Catholic School through 11th grade and then graduated from Anderson High School. On January 30, 1965, he married Vicki Kantner at St. Ambrose Catholic Church in Anderson.

Terry worked at ConRail Railroad for 33 years, retiring as a supervisor in 2000. He was a member of St Matthew Catholic Church in Indianapolis. He was also active in the Retired Railroaders of Indiana.

He is survived by his wife Vicki O’Neill of Fishers; daughters, Michelle (Eric) Soto of West Palm Beach, FL and Kelly O’Neill Seifers of Indianapolis; grandchildren, Ryann Seifers, Hannah Seifers and Kelsie Soto; sisters, Ruth Randolph and Michaela Copeland; and several nieces and nephews.

In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by his son, Sean Michael O’Neill and his brothers James Edwin O’Neill and Patrick Joseph O’Neill.

Mass of Christian Burial will be 10 a.m. Tuesday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Anderson with Fr. Mark Walter officiating. Burial will follow at East Maplewood Cemetery.

Visitation will be 4-8 p.m. on Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Leukemia Research Foundation or St. Mary’s Catholic Church.
