Suzann D. O'Connor

Suzann D. (Heppen) O’Connor, 88, of Anderson, passed away June 25, 2017 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital. She was born on January 28, 1929 in Anderson, the daughter of Henry and Mary (Douglas) Heppen. She was a lifelong resident of Anderson and was a homemaker. Suzann was a member of St. Ambrose Catholic Church for 62 years and served the church in many ways. She was preceded in death by her husband of 64 years, Harry B. O’Connor. Suzann is survived by nine children, Philip O’Connor, Kerry (Tina) O’Connor, Patrick (Joyce) O’Connor, Laura (Dan) Pitcock, Harriett (Martin) Russel, Jeanne (Dennis) Justice, Janice (Tony) Martin, Daniel (Rebecca) O’Connor and Karen (Andy) Brock; 23 grandchildren, Chris, Jennifer, Michael, Alicia, Teri, Ryan, Kelli, Cami, Jeff, Elaine, Susan, Chad, Brian, Lauren, Abby, Nick, Alan, Aaron, Maggie, Molly, Tyler, Alec and Lily; 21 great-grandchildren; and several nieces & nephews. She was also preceded in death by 2 brothers, George & Jack Heppen; and 2 sisters, Nellie Hancock & Cecilia Spaulding. Mass of Christian Burial will be at 10:00 am Thursday at St. Ambrose Catholic Church. Burial will be in Maplewood Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 pm Wednesday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory followed by a Rosary recited at 7:00 pm. Memorial contributions may be made to St. Ambrose Catholic Church or Holy Cross School.
