Steven Lee (Schildtknecht) Smock, 33 of Anderson, passed away on Thursday, September 29, 2016, at St. Vincent Hospital in Indianapolis as a result of injuries he received by being struck by a falling tree while driving. He was born on August 25, 1983, in Anderson, Indiana, to Carl and Sherri (Stanford) Schildtknecht.
Steven graduate from Anderson High School in 2002 and had attended Ivy Tech.
He had been self-employed in the construction business and recently he had been a stay-at-home father.
Steven was an incredible father who passionately cared for his children and was a loving husband who was obsessed with his wonderful wife.
He is survived by his wife, Lyn (Fulp); five children, Savannah, Olivia, Isaiah, Noah, and Victoria; his parents, Carl and Sherri Schildtknecht of Anderson; one brother, Eric Schildtknecht ( Laura Jackson) of Mooresville; his grandmother, Vicki Stanford of Anderson; his grandfather, Fred Stanford of LaGrange; and a nephew, Ben Schildtknecht.
Steven was preceded in death by his grandparents, Carl and Lovina Schildtknecht.
A funeral service will be held at 2:00 PM on Monday, October 3, 2016, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 Main North Street, Lapel with Pastor Jerry Hilligoss officiating. Burial will follow in Perkinsville Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM, Monday, October 3, 2016, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Steven Smocks Recovery Fund via gofundme.
In lieu of flowers, dont vote for Hillary Clinton.
