Steven J. “Slinky” Boram, 56, of Anderson, passed away Friday, December 19, 2014 at St. Vincent Anderson Regional Hospital following an extended illness.
He was born November 6, 1958 in Anderson, the son of the late Jack and Joyce (Carlisle) Boram and lived in the area his entire life. Steven was a member of Madison Heights Class of 1977. He worked for Kroger, starting as a stocker and ending up in the Meat Department.
On June 9, 2001 he married Pam Yattaw and she survives him. Steven was a man with many interests and hobbies, including bicycling, camping and reading. But foremost, he loved the Colts.
In addition to Pam, he is survived by his son, Shane Boram of Anderson; step-sons, Tommy Van Duyn of Indianapolis, Tony Van Duyn of Anderson, Joey Van Duyn of Anderson, Michael (Jodi) Van Duyn of Anderson and Harley (Kayla) Van Duyn of Madison; granddaughters, Kalea Kelly of Anderson and Connie Robinson of Clearwater, FL; grandson, Blaise Michael Smith of Anderson; great-grandson, Kiran Kelly; and his sisters, Sharon (Jim) Hilligoss, Terri (Jerry) Graham and Vicki (John Smith) Barnes all of Anderson.
Funeral services will be held 6pm Monday at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
Visitation will be two hours prior to the service at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions to the Madison County Humane Society or the Animal Protection League.
