Mr. Steven A. Payne

Steven A. Payne, 60, passed away Saturday, October 13, 2018, peacefully at his residence in Charlottesville. He was born July 13, 1958, in Greenfield and graduated from Eastern Hancock in 1976. He was a member of the Golden Rule Masonic Lodge #16 F. & A.M. and a Volunteer Firefighter with Charlottesville, for 22 years. He owned and operated Payne’s Auto Parts and Towing with his brother. Steve is survived by his wife of 21 years, Regina (Spangler) Payne; mother, F. Joan (Holmes) Payne; children, Chasity (husband, Kris) Kindler, Melissa Jo (Scott) Payne, and Steven Lee “Cooter” (wife, Melissa) Payne; step-children, Woody (wife, Katie) Fesler, Becca (husband, Jared) Case, & Jenny Macy; brother, Randy (wife, Cindy) Payne; twenty-two grandchildren; four great grandchildren; and two nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Charles F. Payne; brother, John Kevin Payne; grandson, Cameron Austin Payne. Services will be at 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, October 16, at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson, with visitation from 11:00 a.m. until time of services. Burial will be at Harlan Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Planned Pethood Plus, Inc. in Wheatridge, CO.
