Steve Murphy

Steve Murphy, 59, Greenfield, passed away Monday, March 1, 2010, at his residence following an extended illness.
He was born on May 11, 1950, in Burkesville, Kentucky to Clyde and Pauline (Killman) Murphy.
Steve was employed by General Devices in Indianapolis for several years.
He was a founding member of the Midnight Riders Motorcycle Club
He is survived by his wife of 30 years, Diane (Land) Murphy; four children, Dallas Murphy of Greenfield, Tammy Rider of Pendleton, Patricia Bauder of Florida, and Thomas Mullins, Jr. of Florida; eleven grandchildren; three brothers, Willie Murphy, Jerry Murphy, and Donnie Murphy all of Indianapolis; and a sister, Regina Glandon of Sweetwater, TN.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a brother, James Hayes Murphy; and a sister, May Monday.
Funeral service will be held at 2:00 pm Friday, March 5, 2010, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Rev. Kent Gray officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel.
Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Thursday, March 4, 2010, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
