Stephen Allen Smith

Stephen Allen Smith, 76, Anderson went home to be with his Savior on March 9, 2022, after an extended illness.

He was born September 20,1945 in Anderson. He is proceeded in death by his parents Kenneth Smith and Virginia (Simmons) Smith. He is survived by his faithful wife, Linda (Stohler) Smith of 57 years and four sons. Gary (wife Hope), Larry (wife Paula), Brandon (wife Jessica) and Shane. Steve is also survived by eleven grandchildren: Kyle, Hannah, Natalee, Clay, Carmen, Carter, Chloe, Carson, Cohen, Aundrea and Eli. His brother Gary Smith (wife Karen) resides in Alexandria and Florida. He is also survived by many nieces and nephews.

Steve was a member of Grace Baptist Church in Anderson. He loved to share the gospel with others and sing in the choir. Steve worked for General Motors for 35 years and retired in 1999. He had a life-long passion for cars and auto racing.

Visitation will be held Saturday, March 12th at Grace Baptist Church 432 W 300 N, Anderson, IN. 46012 from 11:00 am to 1:00 pm with the service to follow at 1:00 pm with Pastor Dave Warren officiating. Burial will be at Mendon Cemetery in Pendleton.
