Stephen Allen Shetterly

Stephen Allen Shetterly, 76, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, August 7, 2019, at Community Hospital of Anderson following an extended illness.
He was born on August 7, 1943, in Anderson to William H. and Dorothy Marie (Davis) Shetterly.
Stephen was graduated from Lapel High School in 1962.
He retired in 1999 from the former Delco Remy division of General Motors in Anderson after over 30 years of employment.
Stephen was a member of the Lone Oak Wesleyan Church and was an avid hunter and fisherman and New York Yankees baseball fan.
He is survived by a sister, Suzanne Hagan, a brother Lynn Shetterly, two nieces, Annie Hagan and Michelle Short; and Doug, Rambo, and Lamont Shetterly.
Stephen was preceded in death by his parents; and a niece, Dawn Evans.
A funeral service will be held at 11:00 AM on Friday, August 16, 2019, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel, Indiana with Pastor Steve Binns officiating. Entombment will be in Brookside Cemetery at a later date.
Visitation will be from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM Thursday, August 15, 2019, at the funeral home.
Memorial contributions may be made to Lone Oak Wesleyan Church, 486 North 500 West, Anderson, Indiana 46011.
