Stanley James Holland

Stanley James Holland, 78, of Anderson went home to be with the Lord after an extended illness on July 9, 2021 at his residence. He was born on May 13, 1943 in Noblesville to the late Walter and Dorothy (Taylor) Holland. Stanley graduated from Baptist Bible College. He went on to sing for the Gospel Messengers Quartet and was an assistant Pastor. He retired as a Journeyman Millwright from Delco Remy after 40 years of Service. After retirement, he drove the bus for ten years for Anderson Community Schools. He was a member of the First Baptist Church in Daleville, 50 year member of the Masonic Lodge, and member of the Scottish Rite. Stanley is survived by his daughter, Julie Yunker; grandchildren, Cali (Alan) Dorn, James Killian; great grandchildren, Makayla Ellingwood, Sarah Killian, Hanna Dorn; sister, Tina West; brother, Dwain Barker, Mark (Vicki) Barker and many nieces, nephews and cousins. He was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Diana Rose Holland; daughter, Teresa Christine Holland-Scherer; son in-law, Brian Keith Yunker; sisters Jeannie Jones, Margie Grimes and Jackie Bledsoe. The family would like to thank all the doctors, nurses, staff and Dr. Leer at Community Network and hospice for all of their care. Services will be held on Tuesday at 2:00 pm at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory, 515 E. 53rd St., Anderson, Indiana 46013 with Pastor Mark Freeman officiating. Cremation will follow. Visitation will be on Tuesday at the funeral home from 12:00 pm to 2:00 pm.
