Sondra J. Knotts, 83, Lapel, passed away Wednesday, March 25, 2020, at Rawlins House in Pendleton following an extended illness.She was born on January 22, 1937, in Lapel, Indiana to Thomas Kellams and Katherine Imogene (Patrick) Kellams.Sondra was graduated from Lapel High School in 1955.She retired from the town of Lapel.Sondra was a member of the Emmaus Community. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother. She was very involved in many ministries. She is survived by her husband James Knotts of Lapel; children, Jo Ellen (Terry) Couch of Spiceland, and Larry (Kelly) Knotts of Lapel; sisters, Nora (Jim) Boyll of Lapel, Pam Sheller of Anderson; grandchildren, Joseph (Jenny) Turner, Stephanie (Steve) Tipps, Kelly (Greg) Buck, and Kayla (Samantha) Knotts; great-grandchildren, Samantha, Jamison, Ben, and Cole; she was also survived by many nieces and nephews. Sondra was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Thomas and Jimmy Don Kellams. Due to public health regulations and safety to the public, private services will be held. A private graveside service will also be held at Brookside Cemetery, Lapel, IN., with Rev. Glenn Knepp officiating. The family would like to inform everyone, once all regulations are lifted, there will be a public memorial service held at Hersberger-Bozell Funeral Home 1010 N. Main St. Lapel, IN 46051.
