Shirley S. Rios

Shirley S. Rios, 88, of Pendleton, passed away peacefully on December 18, 2023, at Rawlins House in Pendleton. Born on April 23, 1935, Shirley lived an adventurous life and brought joy to those around her.

Born to John Aaron and Fanny Mae (Smith) Stevenson.

Music was one of Shirley's talents throughout her life. And with a passion for Folk, Gospel and Country music, she learned and loved to play the guitar. Her love for music brought her and her family and friends immense joy.

As we reflect on Shirley's life, may we commemorate her heart-filled dedication to others her love for music, and her incomparable role as a mother. Although she left her Earthly realm, her spirit will forever resonate within the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

Shirley is survived by her two children, Cindy Kiser of Anderson and Thomas Rushing of Anderson; three grandchildren, Kimberly Kiser, Christopher Heitz, and Adam (Tara) Kiser; two great-grandparents, Cash, Hazel, and Diminity. Her presence will be dearly missed by family, friends, and all those whose lives she touched.

She is preceded in by her parents, and two brothers, John Stevenson, Jr. and Tom Stevenson.
