Ms. Shirley Mae Lewman

Shirley Mae Lewman, 83, passed away October 14, 2019, at her home surrounded by her family. She was born May 20, 1936 in Indianapolis to the late Forest & Luella (Tanner) Eakin. Shirley was a loving mother, grandmother, and great grandmother. She was a member of Willow Branch United Methodist Church and Sigma Beta Sorority, Rho Chapter. She was the bookkeeper for Kendall Garage in Willow Branch for many years. Shirley enjoyed hanging wallpaper, golfing, but mostly enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren & great grandchildren. She is survived by her daughter & son-in-law, Sherry & Rick Lawrence; grandchildren, Leslie (husband, David) Wickard and JP (wife, Amanda) Lawrence; great grandchildren, Paige, Ryan, & Carter Wickard; sisters, Peggy Althoff & Linda Jack; several nieces & nephews; and her four legged companion, Carly. She was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Lewman; and children, Denise Sue & Dennis Dean. Services will be officiated by Pastor Glen Davis at 11 a.m. Friday, October 18, 2019 at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson. Burial will be at McCray Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. The family encourages everyone to wear purple to show support for Alzheimers. Memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, Sue Ann Wortman Cancer Center, or to the Willow Branch United Methodist Church.
