Shirley J. Macfadden

Shirley J. MacFadden, 72, of Pendleton, passed away October 9, 2015 at her residence after an extended illness.

She was born on March 23, 1943 in Union County, Mississippi, the daughter of J.B. and Mitty (Wolverton) Gilmer and lived in Pendleton most of her life.

She retired from Rawlins House in Pendleton after 20 years of service.

Shirley is survived by her three children, Richard A. (Kelly) Palmer of Anderson, Curtis L. Palmer of California and Marcia (Scott) Crose of Markleville; several grandchildren; two great-grandchildren; sister, Barbara Putnam; two brothers, Harry (Janice) Gilmer and Tommy Gilmer; and several nieces and nephews.

As per Shirley’s wishes cremation will take place and there will be no services at this time. Arrangements were entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
