Shirley A. Harris

Shirley A. Harris, 76, Westfield, passed away Friday, June 15, 2012, at her son's home in Noblesville following a brief illness. She was born on May 24, 1936, in Noblesville, Indiana to Ralph and Gertrude (Coverdale) Lewis. Shirley was a cashier at the former Pop In convenience store in Westfield for many years. She was a member of the Central Christian Church in Carmel and she enjoyed fishing and the outdoors and loved people. She is survived by five children, Timothy (wife, Pam) Harris of Lafayette, Vicky (husband, Bill) Meldahl of Noblesville, Terry (husband, Greg) Krieg of Greencastle, Deborah Harris of Zionsville, and Rodney (wife, Cherlyn) Harris of Noblesville; twelve grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; three brothers, Jim Lewis of Westfield, Ted Lewis of Carmel, and Donald Lewis of Indianapolis; and two sisters, Christy Rajer of Middletown and Cindy Truitt of Indianapolis. She was preceded in death by her parents; her brother, Gary Lewis; and a grandson, Brandon Harris. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 am Monday, June 18, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home in Lapel with Pastor Fred Knoll officiating. Burial will follow in Eagle Creek Cemetery, Westfield. Visitation will be from 2:00 pm to 6:00 pm Sunday, June 17, 2012, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
