Sherry Gay Powers

Sherry Gay Powers, 79, Anderson, passed away August 22, 2017 at Providence of Anderson Health Care after an extended illness. She was born June 12, 1938, in Clinton County, the daughter of the late Lloyd and Ethel Bill. She lived most all of her life in Anderson and attended St. Mary’s Catholic Church. Sherry graduated from Anderson High School in 1956 and was a homemaker. She is survived by her two sons, Patrick W. (Jill) Powers of Noblesville and Timothy R. Powers and fiancé Meredith Cioffi of Cedar Lake; two grandchildren, Jessica R. Powers of Noblesville, Katherine Myers of Greenwood and two great grandchildren; one brother, Steven (Coco) Bill of Pendleton and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, William R. “Bill” Powers in 2009. Service will be at 7:00 P.M. Monday, August 28, 2017, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with Monsignor Robert Sell officiating. Friends may call from 5:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. on Monday at the funeral home.
