Sherri Dawn Auker

Sherri Dawn Auker, 52, of Anderson passed away on May 14, 2024.  She was born on June 19, 1971, in Hampton, Virginia.  During her life Sherri enjoyed coloring, listening to country music, and her favorite thing that she loved was watching rural western tv shows such as Gunsmoke.

Sherri is survived by her husband David Auker; children, Michael R. Moore III, Skylar Ann Dawn Auker-Hicks, and Paula Maxine Auker; mother, Patricia Ellingwood; grandmother; Yavonne Pettigrew; brothers, Douglas Pettigrew, and David Pettigrew; sister, Judy Shattner; grandkids, Serenity M. Auker, Nathan C. Auker, Violet R. Auker, and several nieces, nephews, and cousins.

She is preceded in death by her father, Steven Pettigrew; son, David Paul Auker Jr.; maternal grandparents, Orville and Mary Ellingwood; paternal grandfather, Boyd Pettigrew; Uncles, Orville Ellingwood Jr., Randy L. Ellingwood, Richard Ellingwood, and Jimmy L. Ellingwood.

A Celebration of Life will be held on Thursday, June 6, 2024 at Main Street Church of God, 4211 Main St., Anderson, IN, 46013.  Arrangements have been entrusted to Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory.
