Sharon Kay Coonce

Sharon Kay (Friend) Coonce, 65, Anderson, passed away Wednesday, December 21, 2011, at St. Vincent Seton Specialty Hospital in Indianapolis following an extended illness. She was born on June 3, 1946, in New Castle, Indiana to Gerald and Clara (Craig) Friend. She graduated from Madison Height School of Anderson. She spent her working life as a Home Health Care Professional in the Anderson area. She is survived by Stanley A. Coonce, spouse of 23 years, two daugahters, Alice A.(husband, Mathew) Gustin of Anderson; Tina R. (husband, Michael) Dunn of Summitville; son-in-law Fred Stamm, of Florida Station, IN; seven grandchildren, Ron Phipps, Brittany Phipps, Aaaron Jones, all of Anderson; Destiny Flowers, of Ocala, FL; Meliena Stamm, Jonathan Jones, Cassie Marvel, all of Anderson; four great-grandchildren, Carlee Phipps, Brandyon Mayhugh, Danica Phipps, Layken Jones, all of Anderson, two brothers, William (wife, Sherry) Kendall, of Frankton; and John (wife, Sue) Friend of Portland; a sister Luanne Kendall, of Anderson; a step father William A. Kendall, of Anderson. She was preceded in death by her parents, daughter Geneva L. Stamm, grandson Justin Jones, and Step-mother Patricia Kendall. Service will be held at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home of Lapel, Tuesday, December 27, 2011 at 2:00 pm with William Kendall officiating. Burial will follow in Brookside Cemetery, Lapel. Visitation will be from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm Monday, December 26, 2011, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.
