Scott Edward Pidcock, 64, passed away on October 18, 2023. Scott was born on March 27, 1959, in Lexington, Kentucky to the late Edward and Carole (Smith) Pidcock.
The family moved to Anderson in 1965. Scott took piano lessons and later taught himself to play the guitar. His undeniable musical talent was evident throughout his life. After graduating from Anderson High School in 1977, Scott received a degree in electronics from ITT Technical Institute in 1980. The school placement services sent him to work in Phoenix, Arizona. Scott was a member of several bands during his time in Arizona. He met and played with many wonderful people, some with whom he remained in contact. He and Kelly married in 1982 and made their home in Phoenix. They added Cody to their family in 1988 and Carly in 1993. Although he was part of the computer/internet boom, he was never fond of using or repairing the devices and in 1993 changed careers to join America’s Best Contacts and Eyeglasses. The family moved to Little Rock, Arkansas where Scott became a store manager. When that store was sold, Scott and Kelly returned to Anderson to be close to their extended family. Scott reacquainted himself with the music world in the area and began performing in bands again. His children liked to tag along as roadies. He was also part of Praise Teams at Bethany Christian Church and New Hope United Methodist Church. Scott became a lifetime member of The Veterans of Madison County where he always had his own opinion and was happy to share it. He cheered on the Kentucky Wildcats, Phoenix Suns, and Indianapolis Colts. During his life, he preferred simplicity: jeans, t-shirts (especially Harley Davidson and UK), and flannels. He was a devoted fan of the soap opera The Young and the Restless. After compromised health eliminated his ability to play music, Scott enjoyed listening to the radio, watching performances on TV, and occasionally attending a live event.
Scott will dearly be missed by his daughter, Carly Pidcock; ex-wife, Kelly Pidcock; sister, Sandi Harnish; brother, Steve Pidcock; 9 nieces, 2 nephews, and several special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents, and his son, Cody Pidcock.
