Ms. Sara “Sally” Collins

Sara “Sally” Nancy Collins, 75, passed away May 26, 2020. She was born March 27, 1945 in Olean, NY to the late Merton & Ella Sue (Limerick) Burdick. Sally was a homemaker who loved helping raise her grandchildren. She taught Sunday school at South Meridian Church of God where she was a member. In her spare time she loved drawing, reading, crossword puzzles, and having her own bible studies. Sally is survived by her children, Robin Stephens & Michael Collins; grandchildren, Joshua & Alexandra Zdanowski, and Jacob Herring; sisters, Lucy Cowley, Susan Martin, & Debbie (husband, Jon) Gross; sister-in-law, Evelyn Holland; and several nieces & nephews. She was preceded in death by her husband, Patrick “Pat” Collins; and sister, Mary Ellen Plarre. Services will be at 10 a.m. Friday, June 5, at Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory. Burial will be at Anderson Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Thursday at the funeral home. Due to COVID-19 social distancing will still be practiced.
