Ruth R. Molden, 95 of Wilkinson passed away peacefully, Tuesday, May 14, 2019, in the evening at Golden Living Center in Greenfield. She was born February 27, 1924 in Hancock Co. the daughter of the late Avery Don Thomas and Violet (Eadler) Thomas. Ruth along with her husband Russell, were the owners of Molden’s True Value Hardware in Wilkinson for 29 years. She graduated from Wilkinson High School, was a member of the VFW and Wilkinson Civic Club. She loved spending time outdoors, planting flowers and gardening. Canning, sewing, cross stitching, knitting, and playing cards were among her many hobbies. Survivors include son Terry (Sally) Molden of Wilkinson, Sandy (Jim) Jackson of Shirley, & Kevin Molden of Wilkinson; four grandchildren; four step-grandchildren; several great grandchildren; and sister-in-law Mary Etta Shaul of Wilkinson. She was preceded in death by her husband, Russell Molden in 1997; brother, Don E. Thomas; and grandson, Bryan Jackson. Services will be at 11 a.m. Monday, May 20 at Condo & St. Pierre Funeral Service & Crematory, Wilkinson, with Pastor Jim Jackson officiating. Burial will be at McCray Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday from 2:00-5:00 p.m. at the funeral home.
