Ruth M. Seal

Ruth M. Seal, 84, Perkinsville, passed away Sunday, August 27, 2017, at Community Northview Care Center in Anderson following an extended illness.She was born on October 14, 1932, in Helmsburg, Indiana to Forrest Irvin and Clara May (Parker) Sisson.Ruth was graduated from Lapel High School.She enjoyed working puzzles, loved flowers, animals, cooking, and was an avid history buff. Ruth is survived by five daughters, Rita Tesarek of Austin, TX, Debbie Langlais of Cicero, Barbara (husband, James) Surrey of Houston, TX, Brenda (husband, Tom) Watson of Gulfport, FL, and Carol (husband, Rick) Gentry of Perkinsville; one son, Mike Seal of Gray Court, SC; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; six brothers, Jim Sisson, Keith Sisson, Larry Sisson, Bob Sisson, David Sisson, and Phillip Sisson.Ruth was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lauton "Butch" Seal; one sister, Betty Borders; and two brothers, Gene Sisson and Charles Sisson.Visitation will be from 2:00 PM to 4:00 PM Wednesday, August 30, 2017, at Scott E. Hersberger Funeral Home, 1010 North Main Street, Lapel.In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to a charity for veterans or the humane society.
