Ruth M. (Fisher) Justice, 100, passed away on April 6, 2021 at Miller’s Merry Manor in Chesterfield. Ruth was born on April 19, 1920 in Lapel to Andrew and Estella (Roller) Fisher. She was a nurse’s aid that has worked at St. John’s and then retired from Fort Harrison. Ruth was a devoted member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church. She was also a professional clown, and was even named Clown-of-the-Year for the state of Indiana. Ruth also loved to read, and helped many immigrants from Korea learn to read and speak English. At the age of eighty-five, Ruth took up the hobby of tap dancing. Ruth is survived by her children: Dennis Fisher, Joe (Joan) Justice and Sue (Jerry Fisher) Keglovits; six grandchildren; seven great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Stephen, sons: Jerry and Steve; one grandchild, Jeff Mueschen and three siblings. On Monday, April 12, 2021 Ruth’s family will honor her life at 1:00 PM at the Brown-Butz-Diedring Funeral Service & Crematory with the Reverend Robert Williams officiating. The family will receive friends from 11:00 AM until the time of the service Monday at the funeral home. Burial will be at a later date in East Maplewood Cemetery.
